We are proud to
announce our incoming workshop this fall,
during the Medicine Park flute festival, Oklahoma, friday october 7th
2011.
Don't miss the chance to be trained by the four fallen Branch
flutemakers
(Our very first workshop all together), and learn the art of branch
flute making.
This year, having just a single day to do the workshop, and a branch
flute asking for more time,
we exceptionally offer the students a pre-worked flute blank,
with all the hard work already done (branch cleaned, splitted , gouged
and glued back, bird pre-shaped),
so we can concentrate of the final steps:
- Making of the sound system (sound holes, flue)
- Optimisation of the sound system to get the best voice possible
-Tuning of the root note and each finger hole
-Finish applying
-A bit of decoration if we have time...
The good part ?... You'll leave with a completelly finished flute,
And you'll enjoy it during all the festival !
We also offer a basic option, for the ones who just want to watch the
process,
without a flute blank to start with.

We are offering a couple of options for this workshop.
Participants can choose to take the advanced workshop or the basic
workshop.
The advanced package allows you to make a finished branch flute.
The basic workshop allows you to see demonstrations on making a branch
flute
Advanced package
With the advanced package you will receive a pre-shaped flute blank,
which has already
been split, bore carved, and glued back together. You will receive
hands on instruction
in every step of making your flute blank into a playing flute. You will
also receive the
printed information on making a branch flute. You will leave with a
playing flute.
Basic package
With the basic package you will get to see the demonstrations on each
step of making a branch flute.
At the end of the workshop you will receive a split branch and all the
printed information
to take home with you so you can make a branch flute.
This is designed for someone who is curious about making branch flutes
and wants more information.
If you want to leave with a finished branch flute you might consider
taking the advanced workshop.
